Kelims are flat-woven Oriental rugs without pile. While most kelims are made of woolen fibres, there are some fine pieces made with silk or varying combinations of wool and silk, Kelims have traditionally been woven in all the major weaving countries with their own indigenous styles and designs. Kelims tend to retain the oldest and most traditional designs and an authentic sensibility. Although, these are new kelims with wonderful contemporary and minimalist designs.
